COVID-19 Statement
[May 28]
[May 28] The worldwide diffusion of SARS-CoV-2 is far from being fully controlled and, although here, in Puglia region, there are a few new daily cases of COVID-19, it is likely that in September there will be still limits on public gatherings. Under this uncertainty the GeoHealth2020 Organising Institutions have determined that the meeting will be held in virtual form on 1-2 September.
[April 28] We are looking at three possible scenarios for GeoHealth2020:
1. In-person in Bari, Italy @ Villa Romanazzi Carducci;
2. A mix of virtual and in-person in Bari, Italy @ Dept. of Earth and Geoenvironmental Sciences, Campus University of Bari; and
3.100% virtual.
[April 25] The GeoHealth 2020 organisers are closely monitoring the worldwide diffusion of the SARS-CoV-2 and evolving situation. At this time, the conference is confirmed for 1-5 September in Bari, Italy.
The health and safety of participants is our most important priority. As such, if the COVID-19 cases will increase and prevent the GeoHealth 2020, the physical meeting will be turned into a virtual one. In such a case, the conference fee will be drastically reduced and exceeding amount will be refunded without costs. Social events and the workshop will be also reimbursed. If for some reason you cannot attend the meeting in person you will be able to: i) give their speech using online/offline media; ii) send us the poster file (we will print it) to display.
Decisions will be timely posted on this webpage.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
